Your first visit, step by step

A first visit with a contact lens fitting runs about an hour and a half.

Step 1: Check in
At the front desk we confirm how your benefits are billed and answer questions about fees.

Step 2: Measurements
An assistant takes first measurements and asks about your week and the way you wear glasses or lenses.

Step 3: The exam
The doctor tests your vision and checks the health of your eyes, then explains what was found.

Step 4: The fitting
If you want contact lenses, the fitting follows. You leave with a trial pair, care steps and your check visit.

What to bring

Your glasses and lenses
Bring what you wear now, with the lens cases.
Your cards
Your vision plan and medical insurance cards, and a photo ID.
Your notes
Your last prescription if you have a copy, a list of the medicines you take, and your questions.
