At the visit
About 45 minutes. We check your vision and eye health, then measure the curve and size of your eye.
Daily, two-week or monthly. We talk through your week and pick the one you will actually follow.
If you are new to lenses, an assistant shows you how to put them in, take them out and care for them. About 20 minutes.
You wear the trial pair for a week or two, then come back so the doctor can check the fit.
Before you come
The exam goes to the plan that pays for it, and the fitting, the trial pair and the lenses are quoted separately. The front desk checks your benefits before the visit and gives you a written estimate if you pay yourself.
How fees workYour current glasses and contact lenses, with the cases. Your vision plan and medical insurance cards. A photo ID. Questions about your week.

Questions
Dailies need no cleaning, since you throw them away at night. Two-week and monthly lenses cost less per day but need a cleaning routine. The doctor helps you choose.
Sometimes. Tell the doctor at the exam. The material, the schedule and a rewetting plan can change how lenses feel.
The doctor sets your schedule at the fitting. Many people build up over the first week, and the check visit confirms it.
Tell us about your week and we will find a time for your fitting.
